About Zach Tipton

I have lived in Shelby County, Kentucky, my whole life. My grandfather was a tenant tobacco farmer who passed down a love for the land and the people here. Our rich soil and close proximity to major cities have helped our community thrive for generations. In my early 20s, I worked as a lineman for the telephone company, which let me explore every nook and cranny of Shelby, Henry, and Spencer counties. During this time, I also discovered plat maps and developed a fascination with surveying and property boundaries.

Around 2009, I was laid off during the Great Recession. When that door closed, I took the opportunity to earn my real estate license, something I had always been interested in. I eventually got my lineman job back and worked part time in real estate with a national franchise for a few years. But I did not feel a strong connection to the field until I met Torrey through a church small group in 2012.

A few weeks later, I decided to go all in on real estate and joined Torrey Smith Realty Co. The early days were not easy. The housing market was still recovering from the crisis, and I spent countless days inspecting foreclosed homes and working on listings with no buyers in sight. It is a far cry from the high demand we see today. I am grateful I persevered through those tough times, and now I am proud to be a successful agent in our growing local market.

I am a proud father to four amazing children who have been the driving force behind my motivation to succeed. In September 2025, I married my wife Danielle, my best friend and copilot in life. Together, we are building a home and a life in the same community that shaped me. Over the years, I have had many successes and often find myself at the top of sales volume for our area. I say that as humbly as possible, because I genuinely do not feel deserving. I was fortunate to be raised by a fantastic family who instilled strong values and a solid work ethic in me. I strive to live by the Golden Rule, treating others as I want to be treated, in both my personal and professional life.
